 The Geisha Boy is a 1958 American comedy film starring Jerry Lewis, distributed by Paramount Pictures. Filmed from June 16 to August 7, 1958, it had its first screening in New York City on December 19, 1958. This film marked the film debut of Suzanne Pleshette.
Gilbert "The Great" Wooley (Jerry Lewis) is a down-on-his-luck magician who has been invited to entertain GIs in Japan. However, even before his flight from Los Angeles has taken off the ground, he unwittingly -- and with some participation of his pet, friend and co-star in the act, Harry the rabbit -- incurs the wrath of the show's headliner, actress Lola Livingston (Marie McDonald), with a series of unfortunate accidents. Upon their arrival, as he tries to apologize to Lola, he causes her more embarrassment by tearing up her dress, knocking her down the gangway, and rolling her up in the red carpet to cover up her lack of proper attire.
An orphan, Mitsuo Watanabe (Robert Hirano), who attends the reception in the company of his aunt Kimi Sikita (Nobu McCarthy), an interpreter for the United Service Organizations, or USO, witnesses the spectacle and laughs for the first time since his parents died. When Kimi brings the boy to Gilbert to thank him, he and the boy become close. This, however, irritates the aunt's boyfriend Ichiyama (Ryuzo Demura), a Japanese baseball player; and his subsequent chase of Wooley, which culminates with Ichiyama's fall into a bathhouse pool that floods the street outside, almost motivates the furious USO commander Major Ridgley (Barton MacLane) to revoke Wooley's entertainment-service status. Wooley's USO liaison Sergeant Pearson (Suzanne Pleshette), who has fallen for him, is able to reverse that decision - though it is under the condition that Wooley perform for the American troops at the Korean frontlines. However, she becomes jealous of Gilbert's growing relationship with Kimi.
In time, Gilbert, Mitsuo, and Mitsuo's family become inseparable, but Wooley's failure as a troop entertainer makes Ridgley remand him back to the United States. Not wanting to disappoint Mitsuo by letting him find out that he has been a total flop, Gilbert tries to sneak away when it is time for him to return. Mitsuo follows him, and Gilbert is forced to pretend that he no longer cares for the boy, which makes him cry. However, Mitsuo still follows him to America by stowing away on the plane. Once in America, they are reunited, but Gilbert is accused of kidnapping Mitsuo, who is then returned to Japan. Wooley follows in the same way that Mitsuo did, but is "smarter" by hiding in a specially marked trunk. However, when the airliner lands, he cannot get out of the trunk, and tha Sikitas have to rescue him from it. Wooley decides to stay and become a successful performer of magic in Japan.
The film ends with Harry the rabbit giving birth to a litter in mid-performance, as Gilbert hollers in shock and disbelief, "Hey, you're not a Harry; you're a Harriet!".

1. Before he went on to direct Jawbreaker Sparkler Darren Stein grew up making videos. Along with his friend 'Adam Shell' and the other neighborhood kids these young film makers touched on such adult subjects as jealousy, cruelty, and sexuality.

2. The fact that I did not have Internet tonight was more of a blessing than a curse as I get to dig some of the movies that were laying around my external hard drive . Picked an excellent one – it is called “Put the camera on me” and it is a documentary. A documentary – au that must be boring – but no – because that was not an ordinary documentary, but rather fun and very arty made mixture of short movies shoot by Darren Stain.

When he was little boy his dad brought home a camera and Darren being very artistic and imaginative soon learned how to use it and was obsessed with the idea of making movies – regular one and crazy one starring himself and his friends . About 20 years later Daren combined these movies and together with his original stars – created the movie I just watched.

The best part of this movie was that while watching it I unconsciously started to remember similar situations that have happen to me few years ago– you know playing out with yours friends, having a hell a lot of fun, making cool tricks …etc– so the movie of Daren through not complicated or charged with great ideas or thoughts was quite an experience.

It gave me some ideas – like writing down my memories – making a script and getting few friends to play in it – oh I know that that is not probably going to happen – but the idea is cool anyway – imagining how it will be – I guess I will be able to do the first part and if I do you will be able to see few things at my blog.

But back to the movie – if you can get a hold on it see it – you won`t regret it. I remember talking with a friend about it. He said that the movie was shoot in such a way that it captured the time of 80`s and watching it is warming and cool experience – like flipping the pages of your own yearbook.

But the family have only been abroad once before, and they struggle to adapt to life off the tourist trail in Japan and Cambodia. John sets his hopes on Australia. But their road trip across the Outback ends up threatening his whole family's future.
Episode-6. Gary Fisher always thought there must be more to life than a car in the garage and a mortgage round his neck, and now he plans to find out.
Gary wants to see if it's possible for a welder from Warrington to take on the middle class dream and buy an ocean-going yacht and sail his wife and twin toddlers to America.
But the only way he can afford his dream is to do all the restoration work on the boat himself. Over two gruelling years he spends every penny, and every spare minute of his time attempting to get the boat on the water. But as the yacht nears completion his marriage falls apart.
This film charts the emotional journey of a man whose desire to build a better life for his family risks losing them entirely.

 Soon-Young (Kim Sae-Ron) is a young girl who is the head of her family. She lives with her mentally handicapped father (Jo Yong-Suk), unscrupulous uncle (Lee Chun-Hee) and younger sister Soon-Ja (Kim Ah-Ron) who is always ill. Younger sister Soon-Ja plays with her Barbie doll everyday and dreams of one day living in the United States. Meanwhile, Mang-Taek comes into contact with an American man interested in adopting a healthy Korean girl. Mang-Taek arranges a deal for the American man to adopt Soon-Young. When her younger sister Soon-Ja hears of the adoption, she becomes jealous and asks to take the place of her older sister. When the American man and his young daughter arrive to take Soon-Young, the uncle, Soong-Young and Soon-Ja must decide who is to go. The American father has an ulterior motive for the adoption.

Filming took place from May 21 to June 6, 2011 in Pohang, South Korea.
Movie will screen at the 2011 Busan International Film Festival and has been submitted to the 2011 Venice Film Festival.

 In the Realm of the Senses (French: L'Empire des sens, Japanese: 愛のコリーダ, Ai no korīda) is a 1976 French-Japanese art film written and directed by Nagisa Oshima. It is a fictionalised and sexually explicit treatment of an incident from 1930s Japan, that of Sada Abe. It generated great controversy during its release; while intended for mainstream wide release, it contains scenes of unsimulated sexual activity between the actors (Tatsuya Fuji and Eiko Matsuda, among others).

In 1936 Tokyo, Sada Abe (Eiko Matsuda) is a former prostitute who now works as a maid in a hotel. The hotel's owner, Kichizo Ishida (Tatsuya Fuji), molests her, and the two begin an intense affair that consists of sexual experiments and various self-indulgences. Ishida leaves his wife to pursue his affair with Sada. Sada becomes increasingly possessive and jealous of Ishida, and Ishida more eager to please her. Their mutual obsession escalates to the point where Ishida finds she is most excited by strangling him during lovemaking, and he is killed in this fashion. Sada then severs his penis. While she is shown next to him naked, it is mentioned that she will walk around with his penis inside her for several days. Words written with blood can be read on his chest: "Sada Kichi the two of us forever".

Biura współczesnego, ale mentalnie i "technologicznie" zakorzenionego w minionej epoce, w czasach, kiedy urzędnicy przychodzili do pracy tylko po to, żeby napić się kawy, poczytać gazety i wyskoczyć na zakupy. W owym biurze wszystko jest jak należy. Stoją masywne biurka, a na nich maszyny do pisania. Są półki, na których stoją rzędy segregatorów wypełnionych dokumentami. Jest czajnik i niedomyte szklanki oraz telefon, którego nikt nie odbiera, a nawet wieszający się przez cały czas komputer. Tylko urzędnicy i petenci jacyś tacy nie ubrani.
EN. Somewhere in an ordinary office with completely normal furniture, equipment and clerks, the days pass by productively. After a long time, today is Marta's first day at work, and as a newcomer and an office junior, she already begins to feel the tension building up with the phones ringing madly and her domineering colleague Mrs Krysia with her trustworthy assistant Mrs Bozenka giving orders without ceasing. Simone är en flicka i 12-årsåldern. När hennes mamma flyttar ihop med nye killen Yngve och hennes hund Kilroy försvinner i själva flytten så klipper hon av sig håret i protest. I den nya skolan som hon börjar blir hon av misstag från början tagen för att vara kille och heta Simon, en situation som hon finner sig i direkt. Ganska snabbt blir hon accepterad av klassens övriga grabbar, och blir även föremål för tjejernas intresse, något som får vissa konsekvenser i hennes omgivning. Simones oförmåga att kunna förklara kombinerat med mammans och Yngves oförmåga att kunna förstå bäddar för komplikationer.
EN. Simone has just moved to a new town with her mother and it is the first day of school...a new school. Her mom bugs her about her hair and Simone simply cuts it of so that it looks boyish like. When she gets to school and the teacher calls up her name she thinks that there has been a misunderstanding so instead of calling Simone she calls Simon. Simone doesn't understand at first but then she answers and just like that everybody thinks she's a boy, all because of that hairdo. The story continues with what she has to deal with being a new kid and all, she falls in love...with a boy of course.

She agrees, and while touring the camp finds herself attracted to one of the patrons. The trouble is, so does another young woman at the camp. Complications ensue.

 After the matriarch of once rich and influential aristocratic Caroli family dies, her nearly bankrupt family decides to hold a seance in their decrepit castle and contact her spirit. Unfortunately, they contact instead the malicious and possibly demonic spirit of their evil, hedonistic and decadent late cousin Lucrezia that, after assaulting and messing a bit with those present at the summoning, ends up possessing the dead woman's virginal teenage daughter Bimba. Bimba suddenly becomes overtly sexual and starts acting out in a completely unhinged, aggressive and sexually provocative manner in front of her family and their guests, all while brutally insulting them. She tries to satisfy her confusing demonic urges with masturbation but quickly moves on to seducing those around her, starting with her deathly ill uncle Adolfo, who's unable to stop her from performing fellatio on him which leads to his death during the incestuous act. Meanwhile, his buxom young wife and Bimba's aunt Nais looks for sexual satisfaction in Giorgio, who hangs around the castle. However, unsatisfied with his s&m play, she seduces her brother-in-law Andrea (Bimba's father and Adolfo's brother) instead. When Bimba discovers this, she tries to seduce her father herself but he rejects her in disgust and calls a psychiatrist who concludes that Bimba is just acting out her grief over her mother's death. Adolfo's nurse, a beautiful nun called Sister Sofia becomes the next target of Bimba's lust. Can Sofia save Bimba from the evil spirit or will Bimba's lust consume Sofia as well? There are two versions of the movie - the softcore version and the hardcore version.

 The story itself is simple: a young boy is the odd one out. His parents are much older; his mother unmercifully picks on him, favoring his near-adult siblings, while his long-suffering father has withdrawn into the small pleasures of hunting and meeting with friends. Really, it's a sort of Cinderella: the wicked step-mother (only it's his real mother), the vain pampered older siblings, his having to work and slave for them, wearing tattered hand-me-downs. But it's told with a wonderful leisurely anecdotal naturalism, laced with delightful moments of surrealism (he's surrounded by double-exposure goblins when told to close up the hen house at night, for example). The greatest scene in the film combines the two, as the boy and a young girl "rehearse" a marriage ceremony, marching through the fields while the animals about them burst into song. The father, as delineated by Baur, and the maid, also immeasurably enriched by a subtle performance, are marvelous characters. The film was made during that brief period when the French countryside was a pre-technological world, yet technology was sufficiently advanced so that sound films could document that existence. Certainly there are "literary" story telling elements, such as the family being "introduced" by the father, the older maid telling the new maid what to expect, and the boy's school essay about his miserable family life. But the wonderful thing about the film is its ineffable technique and its enigmatic moments that are the purest styleless cinema. There are many visual joys, like the shot of boys playing leap-frog with the town spread out below them, that are presented with simplicity and unostentatious naturalism. All told, this is a film of the highest cinematic art, approaching the level of Renoir and Ozu. Adapted from various stories by Jules Renard, Poil de Carotte (The Red Head) is the poetically related tale of a delicate domestic situation. Robert Lynen plays the young son of Catherine Fourtenay. Fourtenay's husband Harry Baur knows that Lynen is not his son, but remains married for appearances' sake. Baur remains aloof and distant until he discovers the cruelties heaped upon Lynen by his resentful mother. Foster father and son develop a respect and friendship for one another that finally deepens into love. A remake of a 1925 film of the same name (also directed by Julien Duvivier), Poil de Carotte which made a star out of its juvenile lead Robert Lynen, whose genuine red head needed no touching up by the makeup men; sadly, Lynen was killed while fighting with the Resistance during World War II.

 Stray Dogs (Chinese: ˈ郊遊, French: Les Chiens errants) is a 2013 Taiwanese-French drama film. The Chinese title of the film is Jiaoyou, which means "Excursion." It was written and directed by Tsai Ming-liang and starred Lee Kang-sheng
An alcoholic man and his two young children barely survive in Taipei. They cross path with a lonely grocery clerk who might help them make a better life.
Stray Dogs is a film about patience – the patience of the characters trying to survive in Taiwan’s lower class urban belly, as well as the patience of the audience watching. The film tracks a poor, nameless family’s life over a few days’ time. There is the father (Lee Kang-sheng), whose job is to hold up signs advertising high-end condominiums along the highway; his twelve-year-old son (Li Yi-cheng) and six-year-old daughter (Lu Yi-ching), who spend their days exploring riverbeds and looking at groceries in the supermarket; and a female supermarket worker (Chen Shiang-chyi), who feeds stray dogs inside an abandoned building at night. The characters’ actions intertwine and the audience is given a look into the harsh realities facing Taiwan today.

 SE. Vi är en svensk långfilm med regi av Mani Maserrat och manus av Jens Jonsson. Bland skådespelarna finns bland andra Gustaf Skarsgård, Anna Åström, Rebecca Ferguson, Sten Ljunggren, Kevin Vaz. Den 31 maj 2012 släpptes en 45 sekunder lång teaser på Youtube med olika scener ur filmen.

I en intervju med Aftonbladet berättar regissören att han pantsatt sin bostad för att kunna finansiera filmprojektet. Av en annan intervju i samma tidning framgår att Gustaf Skarsgård samt övriga skådespelare och filmarbetare ställde upp utan ersättning för att filmen skulle bli av. Sångerskan Sarah Dawn Finer bidrog även till finansieringen samt ställde upp med låtar, sång och musik och krögaren Niklas Ekstedt lånade ut sin krog som inspelningsplats.
Ida (Anna Åström) och Krister (Gustaf Skarsgård) inleder en kärleksrelation, som till en början är väldigt fin men som successivt kvävs trots att de älskar varandra. Det destruktiva förhållandet bygger till en del på Kristers kontroll- och ägandebehov.
EN. This is a story of Ida and Krister. It's about a relationship that goes to hell. They are both crazy in love but manage to strangle the supply of oxygen and adapt to each other in a way that will lead to catastrophic consequences.
