DK. Filmen udspiller sig over et par uger i året 1976 og handler om den 14-årige Martin fra Sdr. Omme, der står over for at blive konfirmeret, men i stedet for kastes ud i en meget turbulent tid, da hans mor - pludselig og uventet - dør af kræft. Nu må Martin, hans far og storebror indstille sig på en ny virkelighed, - en virkelighed som både de og naboerne i den lille jyske provinsby håndterer på hver deres særegne måde. For samtidig med at Martin er på vej ind i de voksnes rækker, er han blevet forelsket i Kristine og måske også lidt i sin bedste ven, Kim. Lungometraggio d'esordio di Costanza Quatriglio, trentenne palermitana la quale non dimentica le sue origini documentaristiche e le innerva con una narrazione che sembra rimandare al cinema di matrice iraniana. La trama e molto esile e il film e legato a un lavoro di ricerca di sguardi e relazioni con la scabra struttura dell'isola di Favignana. Il montaggio, perfettamente sintonizzato con la colonna sonora musicale di Paolo Fresu, prova a fornire compattezza a un'opera prima che, pur con qualche intellettualismo di troppo (vedi la presunzione di poter pensare di fare a meno di una struttura narrativa solida), lascia ben sperare per il futuro.
EN. A coming of age story of a boy, Turi (Ernandes) and his younger sister, Teresa (Guarrasi) on an island off the coast of Sicily. Using mostly non professional actors in a neorealist style, this film creates a charming and seemingly authentic slice of village life.
The slow naturalistic pace, beautiful photography, a sense of the local customs & values, and a captivating performance by Veronica Guarrasi as Teresa make this well worth seeing. The director seem to have captured the end of childhood and the start of adolescence.

1979 wagte sich Robert Van Ackeren an ein ganz außergewöhnliches Filmprojekt. Per Zeitungsanzeige bat er Privatleute um ihre Homevideos. Das Echo war überwältigend: Nach Sichtung von über 200 Stunden Super-8-Material stellte der Regisseur eine Dokumentation in 44 Sequenzen zusammen, die Einblicke in die ganz persönliche Welt und Sicht der Amateurfilmer gibt - ihre schönsten Momente, ihre wichtigsten Ereignisse und ihre erotischsten Erlebnisse.
EN. "Deutschland privat" is a special project by Robert van Ackeren, who in 1979 asked people to send him their 8mm home movies by placing ads in several magazines in Berlin, Germany. In the ads he announced that he was planning to blow up and mount the best of those movies into a feature documentary to be released in German cinemas. He was surprised how many home movies he received and how generously people allowed him to use them for his feature. Part 1 of "Deutschland privat" gives us typical German home movies of the 1970s, i.e. private holidays, family parties, etc. Part 2 consists of what is now called "amateur porn"; home made 8mm movies featuring real porn action.

 Deutschland privat – Im Land der bunten Träume ist ein Filmprojekt von Robert van Ackeren aus dem Jahr 2007 und die Fortsetzung zu Deutschland privat – Eine Anthologie des Volksfilms, einer kommentarlosen Zusammenstellung diverser Amateurfilme.
Im Jahr 1980 brachte Robert van Ackeren unter dem Titel "Deutschland Privat" eine Kompilation von privaten Super-8-Filmen deutscher Hobbyfilmer in die Kinos. Mit "Deutschland Privat - Im Land der bunten Träume" führt er dieses Projekt fort: Der Film präsentiert schillerndes, in den gestalterischen Mitteln erstaunlich vielfältiges "Heimkino" aus fünf Jahrzehnten. Und gerade auch anhand der teils expliziten sexuellen Szenen zeichnet van Ackeren ein ganz eigenes "Deutschlandbild".

 DK. Du er ikke alene er en dansk film fra 1978. Filmen er instrueret af Lasse Nielsen og Ernst Johansen, og manuskriptet er af Lasse Nielsen og Bent Pedersen. Filmen havde premiere den 23. februar 1978.
Filmen foregår på en dansk drengeefterskole hvor en af drengene, Bo (Anders Agensø), opdager sin kærlighed for forstanderens yngste søn, Kim (Peter Bjerg), da begge påbegynder en rejse af seksuel udforskning med hinanden. I en ikke-relateret hændelse bliver en elev udvist for at vise pornografiske plakater, hvorefter de andre elever beslutter sig for at protestere og gå i strejke. Kim og Bo beslutter sig for at komme ud af skabet foran forældre og klassekammerater og viser en film de har lavet om deres forhold, der afsluttes med en lang og følelsesladet kyssescene.
Overgreb på børneskuespillere:
I foråret 2018 er det kommet frem i medierne, at mange af børneskuespillerne, både drenge og piger, som var med i filmen, skal være blevet krænket og seksuelt misbrugt under filmoptagelserne. Misbruget skal være begået af de to instruktører Lasse Nielsen og Ernst Johansen.
EN. You Are Not Alone (Danish: Du er ikke alene) is a 1978 Danish coming-of-age film written by Lasse Nielsen and Bent Petersen, directed by Lasse Nielsen and Ernst Johansen and produced by Steen Herdel.
Set in a Danish all-boys boarding school, one of the boys, Bo (Anders Agensø), develops a special relationship with the headmaster's young son, Kim (Peter Bjerg). In the beginning of the film the headmaster is trying to get funding for a new gym for the school. The boarding school is likely a Christian one, as they have school prayer and the teachers keep referring to good Christian morals.
In another plotline, a troubled student is expelled for displaying sexually charged posters. Some of the students decide to protest this by walking-out of classes. The boy is eventually allowed to return to school so that he may graduate. At the year-end graduation ceremony, the boys present to the entire school and their families a short film they made by themselves based on the commandment "Love thy neighbour".
Sexual abuse:
In 2018 six male and sixteen female former child actors accused the two directors of sexual abuse during the production of You Are Not Alone and other films. The accusations were covered widely in Danish media, and Ernst Johansen admitted to having had sex with under-age female actors, but claims to not having been aware of the age of consent (15 years in Denmark), and that the girls made a pass on him first.

 ES. Un hombre afectado de sus facultades mentales mantiene encerrada a su familia por 18 años en una casona en la Ciudad de México.
Basada en hechos de la vida real, es uno de los films más conocidos del director Arturo Ripstein y del actor Claudio Brook que interpreta a Gabriel Lima, un hombre que aparentemente vive sólo en una casona en la Ciudad de México donde fabríca raticida, el cual vende a pequeños negocios.
Sin embargo lo que ninguno sabe, es que desde hace 18 años mantiene a su familia encerrada, su esposa Beatriz (Rita Macedo), y a sus tres hijos: Porvenir (Arturo Beristaín), Utopía (Diana Bracho) y la pequeña Voluntad (Gladys Bermejo).
Gabriel es muy estricto con ellos, los hace trabajar en su taller y diariamente los somete a sesiones de ejercicio, estudio y una comida basada solo en vegetales, ya que la carne está prohibida, pero lo más importante, los mantiene alejados del mundo exterior porque él cree que es dañino y corrupto, además por la más mínima distracción los castiga encerrándoles en un pequeño cuarto.
La historia esta basada en eventos de la vida real documentados en periodicos de 1959. Rafael Pérez Hernández, mantuvo encerrada a su familia por 15 años en una vieja casona estilo europeo en esquina de Insurgentes Norte y Godard en la ciudad de México conocida como “Casa de los Macetones”. Sus hijos de nombres Soberano, Librepensador, Indómita, Triunfador y Bienvivir, corresponden a su visión utópica de la vida.

Danny Lyon is one of America's great photographers, best known for his series on Chicago bike gangs and his on-going series of death row inmates in the Texas prison system. Lyon was partners with Robert Frank in a company they formed to make documentaries and support their photographic work when he made this poetic cinema-verité portrait of homeless children on the streets of Santa Marta, Colombia. Lyon's remarkable trademark ability to be with the boys as if he were one of them allows him (and us) to experience their day-to-day lives. Punctuated by songs written and sung by one of the boys, the film has a transcendent objectivity tinged with heartbreaking beauty. Restored at 2K by Mark Rance from the original camera negative held at the George Eastman House, the audio has been restored from the original production tapes. This effort is part of an on-going collaboration between Watchmaker Films and Lyons' Bleak Beauty.

 Black Bread (Catalan: Pa negre) is a 2010 Catalan-language Spanish drama film written and directed by Agustí Villaronga. The screenplay is based on the homonymous novel by Emili Teixidor, with elements of two other works by him, Retrat d'un assassí d'ocells and Sic transit Gloria Swanson.
The film won thirteen Gaudí Awards, nine Goya Awards, including best film, best director and best adapted screenplay. It was selected as the Spanish entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 84th Academy Awards being the first Catalan-language film to do so.
In the harsh post-war years' Catalan countryside, Andreu, a child that belongs to the losing side, finds the corpses of a man and his son in the forest. The authorities want his father to be made responsible of the deaths, but Andreu tries to help his father by finding out who truly killed them. In this search, Andreu develops a moral consciousness against a world of adults fed by lies. In order to survive, he betrays his own roots and ends up finding out the monster that lives within him.

The Emerald Forest is a 1985 British drama film set in the Brazilian Rainforest, directed by John Boorman, written by Rospo Pallenberg, and starring Powers Boothe, Meg Foster, and Charley Boorman with supporting roles by Rui Polanah, Tetchie Agbayani, Dira Paes, Estee Chandler, and Eduardo Conde. It is allegedly based on a true story, although some dispute this. The film was screened out of competition at the 1985 Cannes Film Festival. In promoting the film for awards competition, Boorman created the first Oscar screeners, but the film received no Academy Award nominations.
Based on a true story, Powers Boothe plays an American dam engineer in Brazil. Boothe's son (played by Charlie Boorman - son of director John Boorman) is kidnapped by a rain forest tribe, and raised as one of their own. Boothe continues to look for him and after many trials and adventures, stumbles upon him.
