CZ. Děti na prahu puberty bývají citlivější i vznětlivější, objevují se první milostná okouzlení i zklamání v lásce. Jsou jim protivné rodičovské rady, zejména pak otcovo očekávání, že půjdou v jejich stopách. V tomto případě se mladičký chlapec marně snaží otce přesvědčit, že vysněný fotbalista z něho nebude. Zaujme stylizace do lyrické polohy, která do příběhu vnáší ozvláštnění, chce se tak přiblížit dětskému vnímání.

Actress Isild Le Besco (Girls Can't Swim) makes her feature debut as a director with Demi-Tarif (Half-Price). The movie, shot on digital video on a miniscule budget, garnered attention in its native France after renowned filmmaker Chris Marker compared the experience of seeing it to the experience he and his friends had upon seeing Jean-Luc Godard's Breathless for the first time. Demi-Tarif follows the low-key adventures of three young siblings, Romeo (Kolia Litscher), Launa (Lila Salet), and the youngest, Leo (Cindy David), left on their own in a rundown Paris apartment. One of them narrates, wistfully explaining how their mother abandoned them and calls them once in a while to see how they are doing or tell them she loves them. The three kids do as they please, roaming the streets, running out of restaurants without paying for food, and shoplifting from the local grocery store. They eat whatever and whenever they want, gorging themselves on sweets. They beg for change on the Metro and show up late for school in tattered, dirty clothes. All the while, they try to keep the fact that they are alone a secret from the world of adults. Demi-Tarif had its U.S. premiere at the 2004 Tribeca Film Festival.

Angyali üdvözlet, aka "The Annunciation", is a surreal account of the history of humanity as portrayed entirely by children between the ages of 8 and 12. The film begins with the biblical story as Adam (Péter Bocsor) and Eve (Júlia Mérö), are deceived by Lucifer (Eszter Gyalog) -- three very photogenic leads -- into tasting the "Forbidden Fruit". They are thus chased out of the Garden of Eden by the Angel of Death and, in a vision, sent on an existential journey through western European history.
Always followed closely and influenced by the deceptively sweet, but contemptuous Lucifer, we follow Adam through The Plague, wars, Byzantium's wretched cripples, the French Revolution, the squalor of Dickensian London, and a final return to the scene of the crucifixion. Of course the picture makes a case for its premise -- that of the consequences of Original Sin -- yet does so in a very unique way. In the closing scene, Lucifer says, "Why did I strive to achieve greatness in man, who is...in knowlege a pygmy, in blindness a giant?" This reflects the somewhat nihilistic view of a nation still under the boot of Soviet communism.
This rare movie may be one of the best (and only child-starred) art films ever.

A group of experts discuss sex and relations. Different couples demonstrate and have sex in various ways under guidance of a sex therapist. The famous Swedish lawyer Leif Silbersky talks about rape and how to interpret the law on sexual abuse.
This `movie' is a really good way to find out just how sick the early seventies really was and it will also give you an excellent insight into the `Swedish sin'. The part with the communistic collective and their sex habits and partner swapping is extremely amusing! This is the third and last in the `Love' series.

dès l'été, commence l'année terrible. paul Fontanes, l'instituteur de Saint-André-la-Vallée prépare son fils Antoine ; Mlle Rachel, de Saint-Pierre-du-Mont, lance dans la bataille la tendre et folle Pascaline.
Pendant que les jeunes candidats connaissent leurs premiers émois amoureux et se passionnent pour les romances à deux sous, les espoirs et désespoirs des instituteurs viennent fausser la règle du jeu. Alors, entre adultes et enfants, se noue un drame qui ne connaîtra son épiogue que douze ans plus tard...

EN. This certificate was formerly obtained by pupils at the end of primary school. It disappeared and in the naughties is nothing but a memory for older people, retired or soon-to-be-retired. I thought myself of taking it, but the principal told my mother it was useless.
The teacher of a small village has a dream: he wants his son to get his certificate and to be the best in the district ("Canton"). His younger son is less gifted: he is ashamed of him and treats him like a dunce. His obsession is so strong his marriage (his wife is a schoolteacher too) is soon on the rocks. Enter a handsome teacher and this is no more the perfect family.
The day of the exam is particularly well directed, with the inspector of schools and the inhabitants talking arithmetic and spelling. When the results are announced, there will be some surprises. And even an unexpected twist, ten years later. This is an above average MTV work.

Ulf Malmros' Bast I Sverige! (We Can Be Heroes!) is a family film about the problems of a ten-year old. Marcello (Ariel Petsonk) has two loving, but odd, parents. Když se Luboš dozvěděl, že Vašek je jeho syn, hodlá mu vynahradit všechen ztracený čas. Hned první letní prázdniny chtějí strávit společně. Anna balí kufry a těší se na klidnou dovolenou, během které si chce hlavně odpočinout. Její představy se ale s realitou dost rozcházejí. Hned první den musí šlapat na kole a spát pod stanem. Když dorazí k cíli cesty - k Lubošově rodné chalupě - nemá k pláči daleko. Vašek je však ze svého nového dědy přímo u vytržení. A opravdové prázdninové dobrodružství může začít. Děda si bere dovolenou a "chlapi" spolu tráví při lotrovinách hodně času. Za chalupou jsou navíc skály a i přes výslovný zákaz Anny na ně Vašek s tátou každý den cestou na nákup lezou. Luboš dostane telegramem pozvání na mezinárodní soustředění horolezců, což znamená, že nebude moct zůstat s Annou a Vaškem u dědy, jak původně plánoval. Anně to zatají a začne plánovat rychlou svatbu. Vše se ale brzy provalí - lezení na skály i odjezd na soustředění. Podaří se Lubošovi za pomoci Vaška a dědy vše urovnat?

CZ. Desetiletý David se stává členem dětského jachtařského klubu. Cvičí s ostatními dětmi a pomáhá stavět další plachetnice, ale skutečného plachtění si zpočátku moc neužije. Časem však vedoucí oddílu Vala rozhodne, že bude jezdit s jeho synem Oldou místo Bédi Hudce. Kdyby se osvědčil, je naděje, že by se chlapci mohli dostat na mezinárodní regatu do Finska. Oddílovou soutěž sice vyhrají, ale cesta k vytouženému cíli je ještě dlouhá. Davidovi se ježdění s Oldou zprvu líbí. Vyhrávají a jeho polička nad postelí se plní získanými cenami. Proto je také ochoten trpět i to, že si z něj nafoukaný Olda udělal poskoka. David se ho pokouší změnit, donutit ho, aby se k němu choval lépe. Zatímco trenér oddílu, přezdívaný Kocour, se snaží získat pro oddíl vlastní autobus, pan Kubíček, který viděl Oldovo chování k Davidovi, se snaží syna přesvědčit, že by neměl svou čest vyměnit za místo na palubě plachetnice. Po dalších Oldových ústrcích se David skutečně rozhodne pro vzpouru, a to přímo uprostřed rozhodujícího závodu.
EN. Ten-year-old David joins a sailing club. He trains hard and helps repair the sailing boats, but people have to take turns actually sailing. The club chairman Vala wants David to sail with his son Olda. Olda's previous team mate Béda has grown too fast, but with little David Olda could win a place on the regatta to Finland. Olda is arrogant and accustomed to winning with little effort; he bullies David and calls him "Greenhorn". He makes David his servant and blames him when things go wrong.

CZ. Poetická komedie o první lásce patnáctitelé Kateřiny Krásné a jejím citovém zrání. Katka bude opět trávit prázdniny na hradě Krabonoši, kde jsou její oba rodiče kastelány. Moc se netěší, protože bude sedět v hradní pokladně a prodávat vstupenky. Všechno ale změní příjezd nového průvodce turistů, kterým je mladý student historie Petr. Dívce se Petr na první pohled zalíbí a zamiluje se. Ovšem pro Petra je to jenom malá bláznivá holka. Katka se snaží upoutat Petrovu pozornost všemi možnými způsoby, ale všechno je marné. Udělá poslední zoufalý pokus a finguje krádež vzácných zámeckých korbelíků z hradní sbírky. Katka si teprve po příjezdu kriminalistů uvědomí, že svou snahu poněkud přehnala, ale konečně se jí podaří přinutit Petra, aby si jí všiml.

Děti umí někdy pořádně překvapit! Povídka z oblíbeného cyklu Bakaláři 1979.
Malá Renatka (N. Švédová) dává svému novému tatínkovi (L. Frej) otevřeně najevo, že ho nemá ráda a považuje ho za cizího člověka. Žárlí, že nemá maminku jen sama pro sebe. Když ale maminka (J. Preissová) onemocní, musí se o dítě postarat nový tatínek, který doufá, že tím dcerka pozná, že ji má rád… A jak toto sbližování dopadne? Na to už se podívejte v dnešním bakalářském příběhu.

EN. Johanka (Milka Zimkova) had a fling with a well digger (Peter Vons) she had not met before and who, she was most likely certain, would never be around again. Just before his departure, they have sex and she eventually becomes single mother of a baby girl. 18 years later (her now 18-year-old daughter Paulina, Veronika Jenikova) commutes by bus to work in the nearby city, which gives the village gossips the occasional opportunity to remind her of her unknown father. Johanka, prodded by her also-single friend Jozefka (Marie Logojdova) who maintains that a woman without a man is nothing, begins to woo the new teacher Jarek (Jiri Klepl) only to discover later that he is married. Paulina, in the meantime, loses her virginity to the soldier Jirka (Ivan Klecka) who promptly makes himself scarce. Johanka fails to consider that she actually has a better life than some of her married neighbors, begins to see.

Příběh filmu se odehrává v dětském domově a líčí osudy dospívající dívky Jany, která se chystá prožít prázdniny s otcem. Jana ale hledá citové jistoty, a tak od otce uteče k matce a mladší sestře, kde se zdá, že by rodina mohla být zase spolu. Film se naléhavě zabývá neblahým dopadem rozpadlé rodiny na dětskou psychiku.

In 1917, in the red light district Storyville, New Orleans, the prostitute Hattie lives with her twelve year-old daughter Violet in the fancy brothel of Madame Nell, where she works. Photographer Ernest J. Bellocq has an attraction to Hallie and Violet and he is an habitue of the whorehouse. One day, Madame Nell auctions Violet's virginity and the winner pays the fortune of US$ 400 to spend the night with the girl. Then Hattie marries a wealthy client and moves to Saint Louis, leaving Violet in the brothel alone. Violet decides to marry Bellocq and she moves to his house. Until the day that Hattie, who has overcome her past, comes to Bellocq's house with the intention to take Violet with her.
