The Lover (French: L'Amant) is a 1992 drama film produced by Claude Berri and directed by Jean-Jacques Annaud. Based on the semi-autobiographical 1984 novel by Marguerite Duras, the film details the illicit affair between a teenage French girl and a wealthy Chinese man in 1929 French Indochina. In the screenplay written by Annaud and Gérard Brach, the 15 1/2-year-old protagonist is portrayed by actress Jane March, who turned eighteen shortly after filming began. Her lover is portrayed by actor Tony Leung Ka-fai. The film features full-frontal male and female nudity.
Production began in 1989, with filming commencing in 1991. The film made its theatrical debut on 22 January 1992, with an English release in the United Kingdom in June and in the United States in October of the same year. The film won the Motion Picture Sound Editors's 1993 Golden Reel award for "Best Sound Editing — Foreign Feature" and the 1993 César Award for Best Music Written for a Film. The film was a box office success, and received fairly positive reviews from the general audience along with mostly negative reviews from American critics. Overall, the film's performances and cinematography were generally praised.

She is alone on public transportation when she catches the eye of a wealthy Chinese businessman. He offers her a ride into town in the back of his chauffeured sedan, and sparks fly. Está basada en Carmilla, novela corta de 1872 escrita por Sheridan Le Fanu. Narra la historia de dos huérfanas que viven en un convento católico y se ven enfrentadas a una posesión diabólica. A pesar de ser una película mexicana, fue originalmente filmada en inglés, como se puede evidenciar en los diálogos de los actores. Fue lanzada en cines en México el 26 de enero de 1978.
Los sucesos tienen lugar en un convento católico en México que sirve a la vez como orfanato. Alucarda, una huérfana de quince años, ha vivido en el convento toda su vida. Justine, otra huérfana de edad similar, llega al convento. Ella y Alucarda estrechan una fuerte amistad, hasta el extremo de casi desearse sexualmente.
Mientras juegan en un bosque cercano al convento, las niñas se topan con unos extraños gitanos, los cuales atraen una presencia diabólica al abrir un ataúd. A partir de allí, una serie de eventos extraños empiezan a azotar al convento.

Damsko-męskie qui pro quo prowadzi do rozlicznych, często komicznych, epizodów.

 IT. Della serie "Africa Addio", questa volta però dedicato allo schiavismo negli Stati Uniti. Un pseudo-documentario realizzato da due autori da tempo dediti al genere, dotati di mezzi e di indubbie capacità tecniche, decisamente spese male. Jacopetti e Prosperi hanno uno sguardo morboso, e la loro produzione paga pegno ad un razzismo latente (il titolo non aiuta, con il rimando allo stereotipo dello zio Tom) e allarmante. "Addio Zio Tom" (poi rieditato senza più l'addio) è stato realizzato ad Haiti. Lo stesso dittatore Papa Doc avrebbe favorito la non facile lavorazione tra le centinaia di comparse autoctone.
EN. Goodbye Uncle Tom (Italian: Addio Zio Tom) is a 1971 Italian film directed by Mondo film documentary directors Gualtiero Jacopetti and Franco Prosperi with music by Riz Ortolani. The film is based on true events in which the filmmakers explore antebellum America, using period documents to examine in graphic detail the racist ideology and degrading conditions faced by Africans under slavery. Because of the use of published documents and materials from the public record, the film labels itself a documentary, though all footage is re-staged using actors. Though the film is presented as a documentary, it is more of a historical drama or docudrama because of its fantasy framing device of the directors travelling back in time combined with the re-staging of historical events.
The film has frequently been criticized as racist, despite directors Jacopetti and Prosperi's claims to the contrary. In Roger Ebert's 1972 review of the shorter American version, he asserts that the directors have "Made the most disgusting, contemptuous insult to decency ever to masquerade as a documentary." He goes on to call the film "Cruel exploitation", suggesting that the directors degraded the black actors playing slaves by having them enact the extremely dehumanizing situations the film depicts. Critic Pauline Kael called the film "the most specific and rabid incitement to race war", a view shared by white nationalist and former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke, who claimed the film was a Jewish conspiracy to incite blacks to violence against whites.
The directors denied charges of racism; in the 2003 documentary Godfathers of Mondo they specifically note that one of their intentions in making Addio Zio Tom was to "make a new film that would be clearly anti-racist" in response to criticism by Ebert and others over perceived racism in their previous film Africa Addio.
The film was considered to have been a critical and commercial failure.
The film was shot primarily in Haiti, where directors Jacopetti and Prosperi were treated as guests of Haitian dictator Papa Doc Duvalier. Duvalier supported the filmmakers by giving them diplomatic cars, clearance to film anywhere on the island, as many extras as they required, and even a nightly dinner with Duvalier himself. Hundreds of Haitian extras participated in the film's various depictions of the cruel treatment of slaves, as well as white actors portraying historical characters (including Harriet Beecher Stowe).
The directors' cut of Addio Zio Tom draws parallels between the horrors of slavery and the rise of the Black Power Movement, represented by Eldridge Cleaver, LeRoi Jones, Stokely Carmichael, and a few others. The film ends with an unidentified man's fantasy re-enactment of William Styron's The Confessions of Nat Turner. This man imagines Nat Turner's revolt in the present, including the brutal murder of the whites around him, who replace the figures Turner talks about in Styron's novel as the unidentified reader speculates about Turner's motivations and ultimate efficacy in changing the conditions he rebelled against.

 SL. Ko zorijo jagode je slovenski mladinski film iz leta 1978. Film je režiral Rajko Ranfl po istoimenskem romanu Branke Jurca, glasbo je napisal Jože Privšek.
Glavna junakinja knjige je Jagoda Kopriva, ki živi v Ljubljani z mamo, očetom in sestro Marinko. Obiskuje osmi razred osnovne šole in ima najboljšo prijateljico Ireno, kateri zaupa vse svoje skrivnosti. Ena takih skrivnosti je njena velika ljubezen, fant Dragi. Življenje se ji takrat, ko spozna Dragija, polepša. Jagoda spoznava, da je tudi Dragi zaljubljen vanjo.
Jagoda ima tudi prijatelja Nejca, ki pa čuti do nje več kot prijateljstvo. Nejc ne pozna svojega očeta, živi sam z materjo. Jagoda mu pomaga poiskati očeta, vendar ima ta že svojo družino. Nejc je zaradi očetovega zavračanja in zaljubljenosti v Jagodo čedalje bolj nesrečen. Poskuša celo narediti samomor.
Dragi je nekoliko starejši od Jagode in izkaže se, da želi več kot le lahkotno najstniško ljubezen. Jagoda spozna Dragijeve namere in njuna ljubezen se konča.

 Savana violenta (1976) (English: Violent Savanna), also known as This Violent World and Mondo Violence, is a Mondo film directed by Antonio Climati and Mario Morra. The film documents various scenes of graphic behavior in an attempted exposé of worldly violence. It is narrated by Giuseppe Rinaldi.
The film is the second collaborative feature between Antonio Climati and Mario Morra in their series of Mondo films called the Savage Trilogy, following Ultime grida dalla savana.
Antonio Climati and Mario Morra followed up their Ultima Grida dalla Savana with this somewhat less disturbing mondo shockumentary. There are singing penguins, a Sri Lankan man who buries his head in the sand like an ostrich, porn actors struggling with erectile dysfunction, and a 131-year-old mystic. On the more alarming side are fakirs cutting off their own tongues and animals killing their prey. It should be noted that one American print of this film, titled Mondo Violence, is assembled in a different order from the original, providing even more jarring juxtapositions of imagery.

Der Dicke und ich ist ein deutscher Kinderfilm der DEFA von Karl Heinz Lotz aus dem Jahr 1981. Er beruht auf dem gleichnamigen Kinderbuch von Jens Bahre, der auch am Drehbuch beteiligt war.
Während eines Ostseeurlaubs erfährt der neunjährige Florian, daß seine Eltern sich scheiden lassen. Er ist unglücklich und dem neuen Freund der Mutter gegenüber abweisend Florian hat Angst, daß dieser Neue, der Dicke, ihm die Liebe der Mutter stiehlt, und hofft immer noch auf eine Versöhnung mit dem Vater. Die Beziehung der beiden gestaltet sich zu einem Kampf, bei dem sich Florian und der Dicke sehr erfindungsreich zeigen. Im Stillen imponiert es dem Jungen, daß der Dicke sich als fair erweist. Als die Mutter die Situation nicht mehr ertragen kann, zeigt sie sich bereit, auf den Dicken zu verzichten. Florian spürt ihre Traurigkeit. Schließlich raufen sie sich doch zusammen und ziehen gemeinsam in eine neue Wohnung.

Lawn Dogs is a 1997 British-American fantasy-drama film directed by John Duigan and starring Mischa Barton and Sam Rockwell. The film tells the story of a precocious young girl (Barton) from a gated community who befriends a landscape worker (Rockwell), and examines the societal repercussions of their friendship. Written by Naomi Wallace, the film was released by Rank Organisation, and was the company's last production.
The film uses the folktale of Baba Yaga as a prominent plot device. Although filmed in Louisville and Danville, Kentucky in the United States, Lawn Dogs was a British film produced by Duncan Kenworthy. Lawn Dogs won numerous film awards at film festivals in Europe and met with critical acclaim, in particular for the performances of Barton & Rockwell.
Newly arrived in an up-market housing development, quiet ten-year-old Devon doesn't quite fit in. Ignoring the urgings of her social-climbing father, Devon chooses the company of Trent, who mows the estate's lawns, rather than of the girls her own age. Their friendship grows during her visits to his trailer home, but although it is completely innocent it is obvious that it would be unacceptable to the residents if they found out.

Valley of Peace (Slovene: Dolina miru) is a 1956 Yugoslavian (Slovenian) war film directed by France Štiglic. It was in competition at the 1957 Cannes Film Festival, where John Kitzmiller received the Best Actor award for his role as Sgt. Jim.
The music for the film was written by the composer Marjan Kozina. He won the Golden Arena for Best Film Music for it.
In English speaking countries, it was released under the titles "Mr. Jim – American, Soldier, and Gentleman", "Sergeant Jim" and "The Valley of Peace".
The film was selected for screening as part of the Cannes Classics section at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival.
A boy and a rather younger girl lost their families in an air raid. They have heard about a valley where there is always peace and fancy that this is the house of the boy's uncle. They start wandering for the valley. At the same time an airplane is shot down and the black American pilot jumped by parachute. He finds the children at a ford. There is absolutely no danger. But the girl is standing in the middle of the river, scared and crying and neither daring to go forth or back. The pilot cannot abandon the children although they will reduce his chance of escaping. Both the Germans and the partisans know that the pilot had survived. Who will find him first? Several things happen in rapid succession. The children and the pilot find the uncle's house, which had since a long time been abandoned. The Germans arrive and catch the pilot. The partisans attack and liberate the pilot, who joins them. But during the fight he is soon deadly wounded and orders the children to run away....

Der er en oprørsk teenagedatter (Line Kruse) og en baby (Lukas Forchammer), men historien handler især om den elleveårige Mads (Laus Høybye), kaldet Krumme, der er ulykkeligt forelsket, uden at familien mærker det.  SH. Mali vojnici je jugoslavenski crno-bijeli igrani film snimljen 1967 godine u režiji Bahrudina Bate Čengića. Radnja se događa neposredno nakon Drugog svjetskog rata u jednom sirotištu za djecu poginulih partizana i žrtava fašističkih zločina, a gdje, sticajem okolnosti, dolazi plavokosi dječak čiji su roditelji bili nacistički folksdojčeri. Protagonist, čiji lik tumači Stole Aranđelović, je direktor koji dječaka nastoji spasiti od zlostavljanja te za njega izmišlja lažni identitet.
Mali vojnici su, kao i brojna druga ostvarenja jugoslavenske kinematografije iz druge polovice 1960-ih, koristile jačanje autorskih sloboda te prikazivale tamnu stranu nedavne prošlosti jugoslavenske države, prije svega kroz još uvijek neprevladane posljedice rata. Izuzetno mračni ton je dodatno naglašen time da su skoro svi likovi djeca, te da su prikazani sposobnima za isto onakvo nasilje kao i odrasli. Mali vojnici su se zbog toga često nazivao jednim od ostvarenja Crnog talasa.
Mali vojnici su bili u programu Kanskog festivala 1968. godine ali je prije samog prikazivanja festival prekinut zbog političkih previranja u tadašnjoj Francuskoj.
Tijekom Drugog svjetskog rata, u jednom samostanu udomljeni su dječaci koji su izgubili roditelje. Među njima je i novopridošli Boško Grubač, povučeni desetogodišnji dječak koji, iako sin poginulog vojnika, djeluje finije i kulturnije od ostalih. EN. A young German boy is sent to an orphanage in Yugoslavia. The director of the school alters the boy's papers to insure he is not hounded for being German; although the war is over, anti-Nazi sentiment runs rampant among the boys at the school. The newcomer's background is revealed when he and the other boys get drunk. When he plays a Teutonic tune on his harmonica, he is accused of being German. The hapless harmonica player is put on trial by the other boys, interrogated, and nearly killed while the director remains helpless to stop the proceedings. It will take time and patience to change the orphans from readily accepting and acting out the violence they have known all their lives.

Малката Тони няма баща, а за майка си е само пречка. Детето често  остава навън пред заключената врата докато майката се забавлява с поредния си гост. Тони скита по улиците или се отбива в ателието на художника на кукли Фипо. Тук момиченцето се потапя в приказен свят, много различен от този, който е около нея.  Но Фипо си има свой живот и проблеми. Тони не се сърди на майка си, обича я и иска да живее с нея. Но за съседските деца Тони е лош пример.  Родителите им правят всичко възможно да я настанят в интернат, без да се интересуват от нейното мнение. Дали това е по-доброто за момиченцето?

Little Tony does not have a father, but her mother is just an obstacle. The child often stays outside the locked door while the mother has fun with another guest. Tony wanders in the streets or walks to Pipe doll artist's studio. Here the girl is immersed in a fairy-tale world, very different from the one around her. But Fipo has his own life and problems. Tony is not mad at her mother, loves her and wants to live with her. But for neighboring children, Tony is a bad example. Their parents are doing their best to put her in a boarding school without being interested in her opinion. Is this better for the little girl?

 SE. Barnen på Luna är en svensk TV-serie med 8 avsnitt som ursprungligen sändes i SVT 1 under perioden 28 oktober-16 december 2000.

Serien handlar om de fyra barnen Glenn, Torsten och systrarna Mercedes och Pärlan som förlorar sina föräldrar i en flygolycka, och eftersom de fyra barnen inte vill hamna i fosterhem så tar de Glenns föräldrars motorbåt Luna och rymmer tillsammans ut i Stockholms skärgård. De fyra barnen lovar varandra att lita på och aldrig svika varandra; detta sätts på prövning då det konstant kommer upp saker som svek och brist på tillit. Barnen blir efter kort efterlysta och jagade av polisen och försöker fly för att slippa återvända. Efter en tid på flykten bestämmer sig barnen för att leta efter Torstens mormors sommarhus, Solbacken, där de kan stanna utan att bli funna.
